FOUNDATIONS TO FUTURE CAMPAIGN
MMCC is growing and we are launching our most ambitious initiative yet: The Foundations to Future Campaign. This $11.6 million effort will Serve the poor, Strengthen the ministry, and Send trained Cambodian healthcare workers nationwide. Through this campaign, we aim to:
- Serve by increasing patient capacity and investing in the development of our Cambodian staff, especially key leaders, so we can deepen our impact in areas where God is already moving powerfully.
- Strengthen by expanding our facilities. This includes the purchase of a nearby campus to house staff, offer training, and grow our ministry footprint. We will also build a new post-surgical ward, expand outpatient care, and make needed upgrades in diagnostics, rehabilitation, and more.
- Send by launching Regional Outreach Clinics staffed by MMCC-trained graduates. These teams will bring medical care and the Gospel to Cambodia’s most underserved provinces.
We invite you to partner with us as we seek to raise vital funding to support hope and healing across Cambodia.
WHAT YOUR DONATION WILL DO
The financial goal of $11.6 is the product of detailed strategic planning, program and facility evaluation, and leadership forecasting. It encompasses operational needs, infrastructure investments, staff and leader retention initiatives, and ministry expansion opportunities. This funding will be deployed over the course of a two-year campaign and used to sustain key programs for up to five years.
SERVE – $2.9 MILLION
This funding ensures the heart of MMCC stays strong: a Gospel-infused, Cambodian-led ministry offering respectful, accessible care to the most vulnerable. Click to READ MORE…
1. Sustain Core Operations: Covering essential operational costs not met by normal revenue.
2. Expand the Charity Fund: To provide life-saving diagnostics, surgeries, and pediatric care for the poorest patients.
3. Strengthen Holistic Care Ministries: Which includes:
- Counseling – Over 2,000 annual sessions which meet mental health needs and support staff wellness.
- Palliative Care – A multidisciplinary team provides physical, emotional, and spiritual care to patients nearing life’s end.
- Women’s Health – Prevention, education, and early cancer detection.
- Physical Therapy – Plans to expand into inpatient rehab.
- Spiritual Impact Team – Offers prayer, discipleship, Gospel sharing, and church-planting support to patients and staff across the hospital.
4. Invest in Cambodian Staff: By providing benefits and development to retain and empower national staff who are key to MMCC’s mission and leadership. This would include offering:
- Fair wages, healthcare, and long-term incentives
- Sponsorships for further training and tools like laptops
- Annual leadership retreats for spiritual refreshment

STRENGTHEN – $7.2 million
After 16 years of growth and learning, MMCC needs to strengthen its core ministries and expand our space to continue making big impact. We hope to do this in two ways: Click to READ MORE…
1. Hospital Expansion: We recently acquired a parcel of land directly adjacent to our current facility. This expansion will allow us to enhance and equip key areas of the hospital to better meet the growing demands in our:
- Inpatient & outpatient capacity
- Urgent care & surgical ward
- Physical therapy & rehab
- Palliative care & spiritual support
- Lab, pharmacy, and endoscopy services
- Central supply, admin space & education
Generous support has already jumpstarted this progress—your partnership takes it further.
2. New Campus for Staff Housing & Training: We have a rare opportunity to purchase a nearby campus—perfectly suited for our growing needs. This campus would strengthen staff retention, support young families, and build up future Christian leaders in healthcare by providing space for:
- Medical & spiritual training centers
- Staff childcare in a safe Christian setting
- Housing for singles, families, and visiting staff
- A space that fosters longevity, learning, and community
It also secures MMCC’s future by guaranteeing adequate land for long-term growth. Phnom Penh is expanding rapidly, with land development and prices rising sharply. This campus opportunity is a rare, once-in-a-lifetime chance to establish a permanent and strategic footprint before space becomes unattainable.

SEND – $1.5 million
We’ve spent years training high-quality healthcare workers—and now we’re deepening that investment. We’re launching Regional Outreach Centers across Cambodia to bring excellent healthcare and the hope of the Gospel to underserved communities. Click to READ MORE…
1. Training: Over the years we have designed appropriate curriculum for training doctors, nurses, nurse assistants, counselors and other specialties. These programs are specifically suited to the needs of Cambodia with an educational emphasis on clinical primary care. We also match these programs alongside Christ-centered discipleship.
The cost of these training programs is $140,000 per year and we hope to expand and fund these programs for the next five years through this campaign.
2. Sending: In 2024, MMCC launched our Send Initiative to empower trained Cambodian healthcare workers to advance our vision of a Cambodian-led ministry. Some graduates remain at MMCC to train future medical leaders, strengthening national leadership, while many others—already sensing a calling or discovering it through their training—are being sent as medical missionaries to serve in underserved provinces. Under this official sending program, these graduates are opening Regional Outreach Centers (ROC)—small clinics where they share Christ’s love through high-quality healthcare. Each new center requires about $75,000 in start-up funding to launch debt-free, and MMCC provides ongoing support and mentorship to help each team flourish. So far we have launched one ROC and there are several more in planning.

WHY THIS CAMPAIGN MATTERS NOW
Since our founding in 2009, Mercy Medical Center Cambodia (MMCC) has grown from a small clinic into a trusted model of holistic, Gospel-centered healthcare in Phnom Penh. Over sixteen years, we have become a vital institution, blending medical excellence with spiritual care, empowering national leaders, and serving the most vulnerable with dignity and compassion.
As of 2025, MMCC stands at a pivotal moment. Years of steady growth have built a strong foundation. With experienced leadership and an increasingly capable national staff, we are ready to expand our impact. But this next chapter requires strategic investment in infrastructure, staff retention, and long-term sustainability.
The Foundations to Future campaign responds to this call, not just as a funding initiative, but as a commitment to the future of a ministry marked by faith, innovation, and transformation. With the support of faithful partners, MMCC will continue to serve, strengthen, and send. Laying lasting foundations for Gospel-centered healthcare for generations to come.
